Eyes to Asia
Nocturne is a journey of culture and craft, drawing inspiration from the rich imagery of Asia; this is the heart of the brand and it’s asiate identity. The Lenoble family founded Nocturne in 2003. They left France in the 1970’s to embark on a new chapter in Asia. Drawing inspiration from across Asia and the traditions of craftsmanship, Nocturne seeks to evoke that particular aesthetic that infused Indochina, the asiate spirit and its blend of the West and Orient; they were driven to create a brand that embodied that spirit. The London design studio is the cultural melting pot that brings to life this vision, drawing references from modern artists, installations, and architecture.
Our Craft
Nocturne has authentic design integrity; each concept is sketched, combined with modern materials and crafted by our artisans. Claudine Lenoble became passionate about artisan work while discovering Guangdong province almost 30 years ago and built from this a manufacturing base renowned for high quality product. The Lenoble family has a passion to keep traditional crafts alive, positively impacting growing communities and ensuring a future position for high-level artisanal work. Nocturne artisans are now up to three generations strong of families’ expert in their craft, passing on their skills mother to daughter, father to son. Nocturne is proud to have a fully transparent process from inception to production and delivery, resulting in high quality, reliable product with conscience.
